CHICAGO — A 15-year-old boy was shot and wounded in Jefferson Park on Saturday night, police said.
At 11:30 p.m.,the boy was sitting inside a car in the 6300 block of West Montrose Avenue when someone in a mask walked up to him and fired shots, police said.
The boy was hit in his right hip and he was taken to Community First Hospital, where his condition was not available but he was listed as "stable," police said.
The boy is a documented gang member, a police source said.
No one was in custody.
