Chicago Shootings Since Friday Wound 11, Kill 1

CHICAGO — Twelve people were shot — one fatally — in shootings throughout Chicago since Friday morning.

A 31-year-old man was found shot dead in Washington Park early Saturday morning.

In non-fatal shootings:

• In Humboldt Park around 3:48 a.m. Saturday, a man was shot in his back while he was in the 3600 block of West Ohio Street. He was sent to Stroger Hospital in critical condition. Other details of the shooting are unknown.

• In Chicago Lawn around 2:06 a.m., a 32-year-old man got a graze wound in his arm while he was in the 3200 block of West 60th Street.

He was in a vehicle that was at a stop sign when a gunman on foot shot at him. Afterwards, a black Hummer pulled up and began firing shots at him as well.

The victim refused to go to the hospital.

• In Humboldt Park around 1:28 a.m., two men were shot in an apparent drive-by in the 1400 block of North Talman Avenue.

A 37-year-old man was shot in his arm and chest. He was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center.

A 34-year-old man was shot in his hand and abdomen. He was taken to Stroger.

The shots were fired from a silver vehicle.

• In Austin around 12:35 a.m., a 20-year-old man was shot in his neck while riding in a vehicle westbound in the 5000 block of West Division Street.

He was taken to West Suburban Hospital via private vehicle.

• In Garfield Park around 12:10 a.m., a 46-year-old man was shot in his right leg in a drive-by in the 300 block of South Albany Avenue. After being shot on the sidewalk, the victim was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital.

• In West Englewood around 12:05 a.m., a 24-year-old woman was shot in her left arm walking northbound in the 6300 block of South Ashland Avenue.

She took herself to St. Bernard Hospital.

• In Englewood around 11:20 p.m., a 35-year-old man was shot in his head at a gas station in the 5900 block of South Morgan Street.

A Chrysler 300 pulled up, the gunmen got out, shot at him and may have taken his car.

The victim was taken to Stroger in critical conditon.

• In Garfield Park around 10:45 p.m., a 22-year-old man was shot in both of his legs as he was getting into his car in the 3200 block of West Franklin Boulevard. He was taken to Stroger.

• In Park Manor around 6:52 p.m., a 35-year-old man was shot in his left buttocks while in the 6900 block of South Prairie Avenue.

He was walking on the sidewalk when someone approached him and shot at him.

The victim was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center.

• In Auburn Gresham around 8:30 a.m., a 24-year-old man was shot in his leg in a drive-by in the 7500 block of South Loomis Boulevard. Someone in a gray sedan shot him.

The victim was taken to St. Bernard in good condition.

• In another Auburn Gresham drive-by that occurred at 8 a.m., a 21-year-old man was shot in his wrist in the 8000 block of South Loomis Boulevard. He was taken to Christ hospital in good condition.

No one is in custody in any of the shootings.
