2 Shootings Within 30 Minutes Just Blocks Apart In Auburn Gresham: Police

CHICAGO — Shootings just blocks apart left two people wounded in Auburn Gresham on Friday morning, police said.

The first shooting happened at 8 a.m., when a 21-year-old man was walking in the 8000 block of South Loomis Street, police said. Someone in a car fired at the man, hitting him in his wrist.

The man took himself to Advocate Christ Medical Center, where he was in good condition, police said.

At 8:30 a.m., a 24-year-old man was in the 7500 block of South Loomis Street when someone in a gray car fired shots at him, police said. The man was hit in his leg and he was taken to St. Bernard Hospital in good condition.

No one was in custody in the shootings, police said.
