'The Force Awakens,' 2 Other Films Showing In NW Side Parks This Weekend

CHICAGO — The Chicago Park District's Movies in the Parks series will bring family-friendly films to three different Northwest Side parks this weekend, starting with a free screening of the 1989 Kevin Costner classic "Field of Dreams" at 8 p.m. on Friday in Norwood Park, 5801 N. Natoma Ave.

At the same time on Friday, the 2016 Harry Potter spin-off "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" will show at Portage Park, 4100 N. Long Ave.

And at 8 p.m. on Saturday, "Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens" will be projected onto the big screen at Oriole Park, 5430 N. Olcott Ave.

The Oriole Park Advisory Council is encouraging people of all ages to show up to Saturday's screening dressed in Star Wars garb, with prizes lined up for the best costume.

All three films are set to start at 8 p.m.
