CHICAGO — A man was found dead in Belmont Cragin on Wednesday night, police said.

At 9 p.m., officers found the man in the 5900 block of West Fullerton Avenue, police said. He had trauma to his head and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The man was identified as Joaquin Clara, 51, of the 5100 block of West Belden, according to Cook County Medical Examiner's Office records. Clara was pronounced dead at 10:15 a.m. Thursday and an autopsy showed he died from multiple blunt force injuries to his head in a homicide.

The circumstances of the man's death were not immediately clear, police said.

No one was in custody.
