CHICAGO — A 37-year-old woman was robbed at gunpoint in West Town early Wednesday, police said.
At 5:20 a.m., the woman was in the 900 block of North Wolcott Avenue when a man with a gun walked up to her and said he was robbing her, police said. The man demanded the woman's belongings and she complied.
The man then got into the woman's car — which she had left running in the street nearby — and drove off, police said. The car was later found several blocks away in an alley.
The woman was not injured during the robbery, police said.
No one was in custody.
