CHICAGO — A man was shot dead in Back of the Yards on Tuesday afternoon, according to police.
The victim was in the 5200 block of South Bishop Street at 4:58 p.m. Tuesday when a gunman walked up and opened fire, police said.
Calvin Robinson, 41, of the 5300 block of South Laflin, was pronounced dead at 5:13 p.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office. An autopsy showed he died from multiple gunshot wounds in a homicide.
Detectives described the suspect as a black man in his late 20s or early 30s wearing a white shirt and red pants.
No one was in custody.
