CHICAGO — At least five home garages were reported burglarized in Dunning between Aug. 9 and Saturday, according to a police alert issued Wednesday.

In each case, burglars got into garages by "forcibly kicking or prying open the overhead/side door and windows," according to the alert.

They made off with "construction tools, bicycles, lawn equipment, snow blower, lawn care equipment, laptops, jewelry" and cash," police said.

• Between midnight and 9 a.m. Aug. 9 in the 3200 block of North Neenah Avenue

• Between 8 p.m. Aug. 10 and 5 a.m. Aug. 11 in the 3400 block of North Neva Avenue

• At 5 p.m. Aug. 10 in the 3200 block of North Neenah Avenue

• Between 6 p.m. Aug. 10 and 7:50 a.m. Aug. 11 in the 3400 block of North Nottingham Avenue

• Between 10 p.m. Aug. 11 and 10 a.m. Aug. 12 in the 3900 block of North Nordica Avenue
