EDGEWATER — Police are warning North Side residents to be alert and lock their doors after four homes were burgled this month.
In the burglaries, which occurred in the Lincoln police district, the thief entered homes through a door or window, police said.
The incidents took place:
• Between 9 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. on Aug. 4 in the 1100 block of West Balmoral Avenue
• Between 8 a.m. Aug. 6 and 11 a.m Aug. 8 in the 1000 block of West Foster Avenue
• Between 11:30 and 4:35 p.m. on Aug. 11 in the 5200 block of North Winthrop Avenue
• Between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. on Aug. 11 in the 5500 block of North Broadway
Police had no description of the burglar.
