COOK COUNTY CRIMINAL COURTHOUSE — An Englewood man was caught selling more than just cold cuts from behind a meat counter at a local food market where he works as a clerk, police said.

Don Williams, 36, has been charged with selling marijuana at A&J Food Market, 342 W. 75th St, in Grand Crossing.

Williams was busted after a witness called police, officials said in a bond hearing at court Friday. When the police arrived at the store, they noticed a bulge in Williams' front pants pocket which he admitted was marijuana, prosecutors said.

Williams was arrested Thursday with 45 baggies containing marijuana, police said. Police said an additional 91 baggies — with a total of about 3½ ounces of pot worth $1,000 — were found later.

The witness provided police with video footage of Williams selling the baggies for cash while inside the store, prosecutors said.

Cook County Judge James Brown set bail at $30,000.
