CHICAGO — A man shot and killed three people in East Side on Sunday, police said.

At 5:32 p.m., a 24-year-old woman, 22-year-old man and 17-year-old were shot in the 10200 block of South Ewing Avenue, police said. All were pronounced dead at the scene.

Narcisco Ledesma, 22, of the 5500 block of West North Avenue, and Celeste Cockriel, 24, of the 4100 block of West Grand, were pronounced dead at 5:46 p.m., according to Cook County Medical Examiner's Office records.

Antonio Javier Lopez, 17, of East Chicago, Indiana, was pronounced dead at 5:26 p.m.

Autopsies showed Lopez and Cockriel died of multiple gunshot wounds and Ledesma died from a gunshot wound in his head, police said. The deaths were ruled homicides.

A man told officers he shot the three when they broke into his home, then locked himself inside his room, according to the Tribune. Chicago Police spokesman Anthony Guglielmi told the Sun-Times the man's story had "inconsistencies."

No further information was immediately available.
