Emmanuel Fleming and Michael Swift Shot Dead Outside Austin Church

CHICAGO — A 34-year-old man and 46-year-old man were shot dead in Austin Sunday, police said.

At 11:19 a.m., the men were in the 200 block of South Laramie Avenue when two people walked up to them and fired shots at the 34-year-old man, police said.

The 34-year-old was hit multiple times throughout his body and was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Another man, 46, was hit multiple times throughout his body and was pronounced dead at Mount Sinai Hospital, police said.

Emmanuel Fleming, 34, of the 4400 block of South Wells, was pronounced dead at 11:45 a.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office. Michael Swift, 46, of the 4600 block of West Adams, was pronounced dead at 11:47 a.m.

The attackers drove in a silver- or gray-colored SUV, police said.

No one was in custody.
