Jonathan Brown, 25, Killed In Chicago Lawn Drive-by

CHICAGO — A 25-year-old man was shot to death and another man wounded in Chicago Lawn on Wednesday, police said.

At 8:33 p.m., the men were standing on the sidewalk in the 6000 block of South Maplewood Avenue when someone in a dark-colored SUV fired shots, police said.

A 25-year-old man was hit in his chest and right arm and was pronounced dead at Advocate Christ Medical Center, police said.

The man was identified as Jonathan Brown, of the 5700 block of South Aberdeen, in Cook County Medical Examiner's Office records. Brown was pronounced dead at 8:53 p.m. and an autopsy showed he died from multiple gunshot wounds in a homicide.

A 23-year-old man was hit in his abdomen and left arm and was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in critical condition, police said.

No one was in custody.
