DOWNTOWN — The Chicago Riverwalk will host a free fireworks show and floating concert Tuesday night.

The "pyrotechnic waterfall" off the Clark and LaSalle street bridges will start at 8:25 p.m. Tuesday following live music on Island Party Boat, which will cruise along the Chicago River with a live band. The "music cruise" will start at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.

The festivities are part of the Riverwalk's "Second Tuesdays," which include after-hours specials from riverfront restaurants.

"Second Tuesdays" are another promotion the Riverwalk has lined up this summer as the city seeks to make the Downtown riverfront a destination akin to the beaches of Lake Michigan. The Riverwalk debuted a weekly international food festival on Thursdays last month and will host a floating art museum starting next week.
