CHICAGO — A man with a Concealed Carry permit returned fire after a man shot at him in South Deering early Monday, police said.
At 1:23 a.m., the man, 39, was driving in the 9500 block of South Stony Island Avenue when a man in a Chevy Equinox fired shots at him, police said. The 39-year-old fired back, and the man in the Chevy crashed his car and ran away.
The 39-year-old's car was damaged by the gunfire but he was not wounded, police said. He has a valid Concealed Carry permit.
No one was in custody.
