'The Secret Life Of Pets,' 'Moana' Showing Outdoors On NW Side This Weekend

CHICAGO — The Chicago Park District's Movies in the Parks series will bring the 2016 animated kids' flick "The Secret Life of Pets" to Wildwood Park, 6950 N. Hiawatha Ave., Friday evening.

The film follows a house terrier, voiced by comedian Louis C.K., who must team up with a stray dog to find his way home after getting lost in the streets of New York City.

The screening is set to begin around dusk; sundown will occur at 8:05 p.m. Friday.

A screening of the 2016 animated hit "Moana" will show in Sauganash Park, 5861 N. Kostner Ave., Saturday.

Movies in the Parks will return to the Northwest Side on Aug. 10 with a screening of 2016 Best Picture nominee "La La Land," in Portage Park, 4200 N. Long Ave.
