WEST TOWN — After two months of weekend-only BBQ, Lockdown Smoked has added weekday dinner hours and the option to enjoy your meal at the neighboring and much larger Lockdown Bar & Grill.

Launched in May, the casual BBQ spot at 1022 N. Western Ave. offerings include ribs, brisket sandwiches, and smoked chicken wings, according to chef/pitmaster Paul Samojluk's menu.

Samojluk, who owns Lockdown Smoked with Peter "PJ" Zonis, the owner of Lockdown Bar & Grill, said on Tuesday that the decision to expand beyond weekends was prompted by positive customer feedback, solid Yelp reviews and " a core of regulars" he's seen several times since opening.

"The next logical step for us was to open our doors for dinner service during the week, which we're doing starting Wednesday," he said.

Since Lockdown Smoked has only a dozen seats indoors and one table at its sidewalk cafe, patrons can share seating with the Lockdown Bar & Grill after ordering and paying for their meals at the counter of Lockdown Smoked.

Lockdown Smoked's news hours are 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Wednesday through Friday and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturdays and 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Sundays. Lockdown Smoked is BYOB and a delivery option plus catering menu are expected to be added soon.
