MOUNT GREENWOOD — Two men were arrested Tuesday night in a drug bust in Mount Greenwood, according to the Chicago Police Department.

Joseph Koncel, 27, of Mount Greenwood was arrested and charged with a felony count of possession of a controlled substance, police said.

Koncel was arrested at his home in the 3600 block of west 107th Street after police received information that narcotic sales were happening there, according to police.

At 5:40 p.m. Tuesday, police officers saw what they believed was a drug deal and arrested Koncel after an interview. Jon Walker, 32, of the 7600 block of South Calumet Avenue in Chatham was also arrested in a traffic stop nearby, police said.

Narcotics were found on both men. Walker was also charged with a felony count of possession of a controlled substance as well as multiple traffic violations, according to police, who did not provide specifics about the type of drugs that were recovered.

The two men will appear in bond court today at 2650 S. California Ave.
