ROGERS PARK — The annual Rogers Pork street festival kicks-off in Jarvis Square this weekend.

From noon to 9 p.m. Saturday, hungry North Siders can get a taste of some of the best barbeque and grilled meats the neighborhood has to offer on Jarvis Avenue between Greenview and Ashland avenues.

Two stages will supply live entertainment throughout the day, with over 40 vendors like R Public House and Flying Tacos dishing up delicious food, drinks, art and other local wares between.

For vegetarian and vegan festival-goers, The Amazing Kale Burger will be on hand to sling out tasty meatless options.

The event is free, though a $20 VIP ticket will earn patrons a complimentary glass of rosé and umbrella-covered seating with bartender service near music stages.

Proceeds from the event benefit A Just Harvest, a community nonprofit and food cooperative that fights against hunger.
