DOWNTOWN — One or more teenage girls committed two robberies last week Downtown, police say.

In the crimes, one or more robbers threatened victims before taking their cash or other items. In one instance the robber or robbers took money from a cash register, police said. 

The robberies were reported at:

• 9:25 a.m. July 24 in the 1100 block of South State Street.

• 4:45 a.m. July 28 in the 100 block of North Wabash Avenue.

Police described the suspect or suspects as 5-foot-3 to 5-foot-4 girls between 14 and 16 years old. Surveillance images were not available. 

Police said they did not have more information on the crimes.
