CHICAGO — New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie clashed with a Cubs fan at a baseball game this weekend.

Christie was at a Cubs-Brewers game in Milwaukee on Sunday when Cubs fan Brad Joseph spotted the embattled governor. Joseph told a local TV station that he saw Christie and yelled that he "sucked."

"I called him a hypocrite because I thought it needed to be said," Joseph told WISN12. "He then turned around and walked all the way back toward me and got in my face for what seemed like a long time, but was probably only about 30 seconds or a minute."

Christie told Joseph, "Why don't you have another beer?" the Cubs fan told WISN12. Then the governor called Joseph a "tough guy" and asked if if he wanted to "start something," according to WISN12.

A relative of Joseph's recorded the end of the encounter and posted the video to Twitter. The video shows Christie standing over a man in a Cubs jersey.

"You're a big shot," Christie tells the man before walking away.

"I appreciate that," Joseph fires back.

"He is a public official and this is America and I think we have the right to say what you believe as long as it's not crude or profane," Joseph told WISN12.

Christie has a son who works in the Brewers front office, Fox News said.

Christie has proven to be the least popular governor in New Jersey's history with an approval rating of just 15 percent, according to a recent poll.
