'Neighborhood Watch For The Digital Age' The Subject of Police Seminar

MORGAN PARK — Police in the Morgan Park District will host a seminar called "Neighborhood Watch For The Digital Age" from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at the Beverly Arts Center, 2407 W. 111th St.

The seminar at 2407 W. 111th St. will discuss various ways technology can help reduce and prevent crime, including:

• The Office of Emergency Management and Communications' Private Sector Camera Initiative, which links cameras placed at businesses to emergency response teams as well as Homeland Security personnel

• The Ring Video Doorbell, a security device that works like Caller ID for homeowners

• Various digital ways to stay informed about crime in the community

Space is limited for the seminar and advance reservation is recommended by calling the district's CAPS Office at 312-745-0620.
