COOK COUNTY CRIMINAL COURTHOUSE — A Burnside man has been charged with groping two young women under their dresses earlier this month.

According to prosecutors, Wilson was driving Downtown when he spotted a 17-year-old student walking near the Auditorium Theatre, 50 E. Congress Pkwy., about 1:30 p.m. July 14.

Wilson is accused of parking his car and walking behind the teen. Once several bystanders had cleared out of the area, Wilson put his hands between the girl's legs under her dress and lifted her up with his forearm, Assistant State's Attorney Nora Gill said during a bond hearing this week.

At that point, prosecutors said, the student began screaming and flailing as Wilson tried to pull her backwards. He soon gave up, Gill said, and ran back to his car — a dark blue Ford.

The incident was captured on surveillance footage.

According to Roosevelt University, the girl was a student attending a summer program at the school. Prosecutors said she was walking from class to an internship.

Four days later, about 7:40 p.m. July 18, Wilson told a 20-year-old woman walking her dog along Calumet Avenue that he thought she was beautiful, prosecutors said. Authorities did not release the exact address.

Wilson walked past the woman, but soon turned back to lift up her dress, according to Gill. He then pulled up on the victim's underwear, prosecutors said.

Wilson is accused of groping the woman, who turned around to see Wilson crouching behind her. He soon ran off, prosecutors said, and the victim called 911.

While on the phone, the woman saw Wilson run back toward her and get into a parked dark blue Ford, prosecutors said. The woman immediately gave authorities Wilson's license plate number, and he was arrested a few days later.

Wilson lives in the 9000 block of South Greenwood Avenue.
