STREETERVILLE — This is pretty rich: Eli's Cheesecake will hand out free slices Friday off the Magnificent Mile.
The Chicago cheesecake company will run the giveaway from noon to 1 p.m. Friday at Seneca Park, 220 E. Chicago Ave., for National Cheesecake Day.
The park includes the Eli M. Schulman playground, which is named after the company's founder.
The giveaway will precede an all-day cheesecake celebration Sunday near Eli's cheesecake factory in Dunning.
Friday's forecast calls for a moderately warm day with a projected high of 76 degrees.
