CHICAGO — A 40-year-old man was shot to death in Auburn Gresham on Tuesday night, police said.
At 9:37 p.m., the man was standing on the sidewalk in the 7800 block of South Carpenter Street when someone in a white SUV fired shots at him, police said.
The man was hit in his back and was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in critical condition, police said. He was later pronounced dead.
The man was identified as Glen Ingram, of the same block where he was killed, in Cook County Medical Examiner's Office records. Ingram was pronounced dead at 10:32 p.m.
No one was in custody.
