Anthony White, 18, Shot Dead And 15-Year-Old Wounded In Park Manor

CHICAGO — An 18-year-old man was slain and a 15-year-old boy wounded in a shooting in Park Manor on Sunday, police said.

At 12:13 p.m., the two were standing outside in the 7000 block of South Vernon Avenue when several people walked up to them and fired shots, police said.

The man was hit in his neck and back. He took himself to St. Bernard Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, police said.

The man was identified as Anthony White, of the 7000 block of South King Drive, in Cook County Medical Examiner's Office records. White was pronounced dead at 12:34 p.m., and an autopsy showed he died from multiple gunshot wounds in a homicide.

The 15-year-old was hit in his foot and was taken to University of Chicago Medical Center, where he was in good condition, police said.

No one was in custody.
