DOWNTOWN — PAWS is hosting a beach party for all the coolest dogs in town.
Humans can come, too, of course.
The party will help raise money for PAWS, the city's largest no-kill animal shelter. There will be a spa and buffet for dogs (though they need their own ticket) and an open bar, auctions, a dance floor and more for two-legged attendees.
Items to be auctioned include a collection of pinatas, a seven-night-stay at a resort in the Grenadines and dance classes.
The event is Thursday at Castaways at North Avenue Beach, 1603 N. Lake Shore Drive. Tickets are required and are available online at $185 for people and $50 for dogs. Proceeds will benefit PAWS.
Raffle tickets for Bears games, dog strollers and other items are also available online.
