BRIDGEPORT — Kids can learn to fish or show off their fishing skills at the 11th Ward Fishing Derby Saturday at Palmisano Park.
The derby will be open to kids aged 7 to 13 and will be held from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. at the lagoon at Palmisano Park, 2700 S. Halsted St., Alderman Patrick D. Thompson said in a Facebook post.
Equipment will be provided and prizes will be awarded, but those interested in going should register with the 11th Ward office by calling 773-254-6677 or emailing ward11@cityofchicago.org.
