Rashaad Crawford, 23, Killed In South Shore Shooting

CHICAGO — A 23-year-old man was shot dead in South Shore early Sunday, police said.

At 3:17 a.m., the man was sitting in a parked car in the 2100 block of East 71st Street when two people walked up and fired shots, police said.

The man was hit in his chest and left arm and was taken to Northwestern Hospital in serious condition, police said. 

Rashaad Crawford, of the 5400 block of South Laflin Street, was pronounced dead at 4:02 a.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office. An autopsy showed he died from multiple gunshot wounds in his chest and abdomen and in other parts of his body in a homicide.

No one was in custody.
