Humboldt Park Shootings Wound 5 People Since Saturday

CHICAGO — Shootings in Humboldt Park have wounded five people, including a 15-year-old boy, since Saturday, police said.

• At 12:17 a.m., a 15-year-old boy was a passenger in a car driving in the 1000 block of North Sacramento Avenue when someone in a black car fired shots, police said.

The boy was hit in his head and was taken to Norwegian American Hospital. He was transferred to Stroger Hospital, where he was in critical condition, police said.

• At 4:20 p.m., a 32-year-old woman and 27-year-old man were standing in the 3600 block of West Augusta Boulevard when a dark-colored car drove up and someone inside fired shots at them, police said.

The woman was hit in her knee and was taken to Stroger Hospital in good condition, police said. The man was hit in the right side of his back and was taken to Stroger Hospital in serious condition.

• At 1:45 p.m., a 26-year-old woman and 25-year-old man were in a car in the 1200 block of North Mozart Drive when a dark-colored SUV drove up and someone inside fired shots, police said.

The woman was hit in her mouth and she took herself to Norwegian American Hospital. She was transferred to Stroger Hospital in serious condition, police said.

The man was hit in his thigh and was taken to a hospital, but his condition was not immediately available, police said.

No one was in custody in these shootings.
