ANDERSONVILLE — Thirty businesses will crowd the sidewalks of Clark Street for Andersonville's annual sidewalk sale at the end of the month.
From July 28 to 30, the Andersonville Chamber of Commerce will host the event, which features summer sales, bargain antiques, fashion apparel and local treasures. It runs daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., according to a press release for the event.
“Most customers know the Sidewalk Sale is our ‘Super Bowl,’” said Richard Price, co-owner of Alamo Shoes, which will kickoff its sale a day early with back-to-school specials and discounted summer styles.
This year, the event will feature street performers along the entire sidewalk sale from the 4900 block of North Clark Street to the 5800 block of North Clark Street.
New to the event this year is Jerry's Sandwiches at 5419 N. Clark St. hosting a pop-up shop from Chicago jeweler Nomadic Ant, Koval Distillery at 5121 N. Ravenswood Ave. holding a special spirit tasting and selling discounted glassware and apparel and Andersonville Cryotherapy and Athletic Recovery Center at 5052 N. Clark St. offering specials on cryotherapy treatments and cryofacials, according to the release.
The sale also coincides with Women and Children First Bookstore's used book sale benefiting the Women's Voices Fund.
