CHICAGO — Ideas for artwork at the new 95th Street station will be revealed Wednesday.
The artwork was created by Theaster Gates, a Chicago-born artist who focuses on urban planning and created theaters, parks, lumber mills and more for the city. The installation will be the 72nd art project at a CTA train station.
Gates' work will "complement the ongoing construction" of the heavily used station, according to a news release from the Mayor's Office. The station has been getting a $280 million overhaul.
