It's The Final Week For The Park District's 'Rollin' Rec' Program

MORGAN PARK — It's the final week to check out the Chicago Park District's "Rollin' Rec" van.

The van filled with equipment designed to encourage sporting games and fitness activities will wrap up its season Saturday. Barnard, Blackwelder and Crescent parks are among the stops on the Far Southwest Side.

The van contains equipment for gymnastics, dance, theater and arts and crafts. There are nine such vans throughout the program, which began in 2012.

It's free to participate, and no advance registration is required for the drop-in program. The Rollin' Rec van will be in Beverly and Morgan Park on Wednesdays and Fridays:

• From noon-1:30 p.m. at Blackwelder Park at 11500 S. Homewood Ave. in Morgan Park

• From 2-3:30 p.m. Crescent Park at 2230 W. 108th Place in Morgan Park

• From 4-5:30 p.m. Barnard Park at 10431 S. Longwood Drive in Beverly
