CHICAGO — More than 100 riders are expected to stroll through Austin on Saturday to promote peace and healthy activities for residents of the community.

A Bike Ride For Peace is brought by Slow Roll Chicago, an organization that advocates for social justice by organizing community bike rides, and BUILD Chicago, a youth development program that engages with at-risk youths to help enhance their educational and career potential.

Registration begins at 9 a.m. at the BUILD headquarters, 5100 W. Harrison Street. Snacks and refreshments will be available and a live DJ will perform before the ride begins at 10 a.m.

Divvy bikes will be provided for free and participants are also encouraged to bring their own bikes. The event is open to all ages.
