CHICAGO — West Town's Bar DeVille will close later this month.
The nine-year-old bar, 701 N. Damen Ave., will serve its final drinks on July 29, according to a news release. The owners plan to set up in a new location — though the spot hasn't been announced yet — and hope the switch means they'll be able to "move in different directions."
“It has been a great run,” said the bar's managing partner, Brad Bolt, according to the news release. “Have we reached a point where it’s time to move on? Yes and No. We feel good about the brand we’ve built and we’re excited to see what Bar DeVille can become in a new setting.”
The bar plans to end its run with closing events and could return for special pop-ups in the future, though the details of those events have not yet been revealed. More information will be available on the bar's Instagram, @BarDeVille.
The new location will be opened in "coming months," according to Bar DeVille.
