Body Image Documentary 'Embrace' Coming Wednesday To Beverly Arts Center

MORGAN PARK — The Beverly Arts Center will host a showing of "Embrace" at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday as part of its BACinema series.

The documentary explores the social impact of body image. Tickets to the 1½-hour film at 2407 W. 111th St. cost $9.50, or $7.50 for members of the center.

The Australian movie is told by Taryn Brumfitt, a body image activist. She traveled the globe talking to experts, women on the street and well-known personalities about body image issues.

"Embrace" looks to change the way we feel about ourselves and think about our bodies. It premiered at the 2016 Sydney Film Festival and was nominated for the Documentary Australia Foundation Award for Best Documentary.
