Kelvin Harper, 63, Found Stabbed, Beaten To Death In Home

CHICAGO — A 63-year-old man was found stabbed and beaten to death in his Washington Heights home Wednesday afternoon, police said.

Around 2 p.m., officers were called for a well being check at the man's home in the 800 block of West 103rd Street, police said. They found the man, stabbed multiple times and unresponsive, inside an apartment.

Kelvin Harper, of the same block where he was killed, was pronounced dead at 1:51 p.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.

An autopsy showed Harper died from multiple injuries and assault in a homicid.
