BUCKTOWN — Two single-family Bucktown homes that share a fenced-in yard can be bought separately or all together for $2.79 million in a unique pitch that a real estate agent who also owns both sites is marketing online as a "compound."
The homes include a modern mansion at 1945 W. Cortland St. and an old frame home at 1939 W. Cortland St.
Between the two homes is a large expansive yard that looks well used, with a porch, tables, children's playground and a hammock.
"Buy the single lot home or the home and the vacant lot or the entire 3 lot parcel and make your own compound!" suggests a website marketing the homes.
Bob Pearl owns all three adjacent lots under an entity called 1939 Cortland LLC, county and state records show.
Pearl declined to talk about the homes. According to the Multiple Listing Service, the newer home at 1945 W. Cortland St., which has an asking price of $1.39 million and has been listed for about four months, recently went under contract.
