Police Officer, Woman Injured In Park Manor Hit-And-Run

CHICAGO — A Chicago Police officer and a woman were injured in a hit-and-run in Park Manor early Sunday, police said.

At 2:20 a.m., officers were called to a possible domestic dispute in the 6800 block of South State Street when a speeding driver in a maroon car hit the officer and woman, who were talking in the street, police said.

The officer, 43, and the woman, 24, were taken to Stroger Hospital, police said. The officer had multiple injuries and was in serious condition. The woman's condition was not immediately available.

The driver of the car drove away, police said. No one was in custody.
