CHICAGO — A woman was found strangled to death in Garfield Park early Thursday, officials said.
At 1:14 a.m., the woman was found unresponsive in the 3500 block of West Huron Street, police said. The woman had blunt trauma to her face and defensive wounds on her body.
The woman was identified as Catherine Saterfield-Buchanan, of an unknown home address, in Cook County Medical Examiner's Office records. Saterfield-Buchanan was pronounced dead at 1:23 a.m. and an autopsy showed she died from strangulation in a homicide.
No one was in custody.
