CHICAGO — A 25-year-old man was shot and killed in North Lawndale early Monday, police said.
At 1:45 a.m., the man was walking down the street in the 1800 block of South Kildare Avenue when someone in a black car pulled up and fired shots at him, police said.
The man was hit in his back and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
The man was identified as Joseph Henderson, of the 8800 block of South Escanaba Avenue, in Cook County Medical Examiner's Office records. He was pronounced dead at 2:11 a.m.
No one was in custody.
