CHICAGO — A 16-year-old boy was shot and killed in North Lawndale on Sunday night, police said.
At 7:23 p.m., the boy was standing outside in the 1200 block of South Avers Avenue when a red, four-door car drove up and someone inside fired shots, police said.
The boy was hit and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
The boy was identified as Jaquarius Davis, of the same block where he was killed, in Cook County Medical Examiner's Office records. Davis was pronounced dead at 7:56 p.m.
No one was in custody.
