CHICAGO — A man was critically injured after being hit by a car in Garfield Ridge on Sunday night, police said.
At 9:50 p.m., the man, who was between 40 and 50 years old, was crossing the street in the 4500 block of South Cicero Avenue when he was hit by a driver in a Toyota Prius, police said. The Prius driver got out of the car to help the man and call paramedics.
The man was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was in critical condition, police said.
An investigation was ongoing.
