PARK MANOR — An 18-year-old man was fatally shot in Park Manor Friday afternoon, police said.
The incident occurred in the 7000 block of South State Street at 3:12 p.m. Friday.
The man was standing outside when a dark-colored car pulled alongside and someone got out shooting at him, police said.
The man was shot in his head and taken to Stroger Hospital in critical condition.
He was pronounced dead a few hours later.
The man was identified as Sherrod Rhyme, of the 9100 block of South Harper Avenue, in Cook County Medical Examiner's Office records. Rhyme was pronounced dead at 6:36 p.m. An autopsy showed he died from multiple gunshot wounds in a homicide.
No one is in custody.
