CHICAGO — Neighbors helped clean a Chicago police car after it was spray-painted in Norwood Park Friday morning, police said.

The marked SUV had been parked in the 5900 block of West Miami Avenue when someone "defaced" it with spray paint, police said.

The person wrote "pig," "I'm a thief" and "b----," a police source said. Under "We Serve and Protect," the person wrote, "My a--."

Officers believe the car was painted sometime between 3 p.m. Thursday and 7 a.m. Friday.

No one was in custody and no more information was immediately available.
