CHICAGO — A 15-year-old boy was shot to death in West Lawn on Monday night, police said.
At 10:30 p.m., the boy was a passenger in a car driving in the 5900 block of South Pulaski Road when someone fired shots out of a trailing white Dodge Charger, police said.
The boy was hit in his head and back and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, police said.
The boy was identified as Julio Cesar Garcia-Lara, of the 5200 block of South Lawndale Avenue, by the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office. He was pronounced dead at 11:11 p.m.
No one was in custody.
