BEVERLY — DJ John of Beverly Records will pump out music for a dance party Thursday as part of Family Fun Night in Beverly.
The free family festivals runs from 5:30-7 p.m. every Thursday in June. The summer celebration takes place at 103rd Street and Walden Parkway — in the Beverly Bank parking lot.
The outdoor gatherings near the 103rd Street Metra depot include music, food and various themed attractions. The festivals at 1908 W. 103rd St. are held weather permitting, according to Margot Holland, executive director of the Beverly Area Planning Association.
Future themes include:
• June 22: Storybox Improv Theater will perform an improv show with story ideas from the crowd.
• June 29: Summer Kick-Off Party will be held as an overall celebration of the season.
Each week Little Company of Mary Hospital also offers giveaways for kids. Pedalheads provides tips on bike safety and Calabria Imports sells food and beverages from its new food truck.
