CHICAGO — A man was shot to death and another man wounded in Auburn Gresham on Monday night, police said.
At 8:15 p.m., the men were in the 8300 block of South Elizabeth Street when they were shot, police said. The circumstances of the shooting were not immediately available.
One of the men was shot twice in his neck and twice in his left leg and was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center, police said.
Dana Matthews, 18, of the 1500 block of East 62nd Street, was pronounced dead at 9:09 p.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office. An autopsy showed he died from multiple gunshot wounds in a homicide.
The other man, 39, was hit in his abdomen and was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center, police said. His condition was not immediately available.
No one was in custody.
