CHICAGO — A 24-year-old man was shot and killed in Back of the Yards on Sunday, police said.
At 5:10 p.m., the man was walking in the 4700 block of South Winchester Avenue when a green car pulled up and people inside got out and fired shots, police said.
The man was hit in his abdomen and right leg and was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
The man was identified as Christian Rodriguez, of the 6200 block of South Kolin Avenue, by the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office. Rodriguez was pronounced dead at 6:48 p.m.
The man was a documented gang member, a police source said.
No one was in custody.
