CHICAGO — A 19-year-old man was killed and two people wounded in a shooting in Back of the Yards early Sunday, officials said.
At 3:13 a.m., the three were standing on the sidewalk in the 5300 block of South Seeley Avenue when someone in a car fired shots at them, police said.
The 19-year-old was hit and pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
The man was identified as Ivan Gutierrez, 19, of the same block where he was shot, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.
A 33-year-old man was hit and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition was not available but he was listed as "stable," police said. A 22-year-old man was hit and taken to Stroger Hospital in critical condition.
The men were documented gang members, a police source said.
No one was in custody.
